My take on Flash Robberies

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_xThHoTgoPM&feature=youtu.be

Flash Robberies are some crazy things. But I actually like them. Goes into what I've always said, the people in power, "the Man", only get to keep that roll because we let them. Society only preserves and funtions as it does because we ALLOW it to function that way.

Concepts like money, banks, taxes, credits, laws, all this stuff is just some abstract idea that some dudes at one point said "Hey guys lets try this" and it worked well enough that it became a social staple that exists too today.

But it's important to remember that just because the people around you have "always done it that way" doesn't mean that you or anyone needs to subscribe to those governing "rules".

Case in point, retail stores and whatnot have an employee or two on average, no guards, but that's cool because "people don't" do what happens in Flash Robberies. You're "not suppose to" so obviously it must not ever happen right?

Obviously not. All it takes is someone to realize that "Oh hey, I can just do this instead?" And then they can do it. Whatever it is.

I don't endorse theft, it's not very nice, but legality itself is just another man made abstract so I find this a lovely example of the true nature of things as opposed to the safety blanket society has pulled over its eyes to ignore real issues.

Here's your next major paradigm shift people. When the technologically savy underclass realize they don't have to follow the rules that made the rich rich and keep the upper class upper class, when people begin to realize they out number the fat cats and could really just take what they want instead of living under what I'd honestly call an oppressive rule (seriously watch any legitimate documentary about American society from the last ten years. It's fucking terrifying. Bush alone...) then what's to stop the shit from hitting the fan? Are forty written off ghetto kids going to care that some cop says "hey don't do that" if they walk into a store and walk out with everything they can carry? You can't arrest them all. Especially not if there are similar incidents happening all over the place. If the majority embrace an activity it becomes untenable to police against it after all, and the poor/lower middleclass outnumber the super rich/upper middle class by a lot.

I'm not an anarchist, far from it, if anything I'd want to be a benevolent dictator, but I also think the current system in the western world (ie. the US) is going to implode if it keeps up the way its going. Flash Robs are just a sign of that. Second American Civil War, I'm telling you now kids. And as a Canadian that kind of freaks me out. If those nuts start fighting each other then suddenly the only good thing about the US (being the big bully that keeps people safely away from the lovely and mostly still unspoiled Canada) goes away and we have to deal with the US people (ie. the country full of dirt cheap guns, booze, racists, overflowing prisons, hillbillies and a disgustingly overwhelming sense of self entitlement, of US {(which really means I} > Them {everyone else}) fighting each other.
